Bengal Tiger Tiger, Asia's most fierce animal is found in large number in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar. The Indian race designated as the typical Bengal Tiger from the Great Himalayas to Kanyakumari expect the Great Indian Thar Desert of Rajasthan. In 1970, due to continuous decline in the tiger population, complete ban on hunting of tigers was imposed in India.

Measuring in straight line between 260 - 290 cms, the average weight of the Bengal tigers varies between 135 - 230 kgs. Essential requirements for tiger habitat include the neighbourhood of large animals upon which it can prey, ample shade to rest and sufficient water to quench their thirst. Bengal tigers are mainly a carnivorous animal, they hunt elephants, gaur, buffalo, deer, nilgai, wild pig, bear, porcupines and other variety of animals. Sunset and dawn are the favourite timings of tiger hunting. Bengal Tiger can swim and climb on tress too.
