Overview
Delhi, the booming capital of modern India, has had many rulers and contains a wealth of buildings and culture that bring to life its rich and turbulent history. Safe in its natural mountain fortress, the fabled city of Kathmandu was virtually cut off from the rest of the world until the last half century. Smaller, but no less fascinating, this city has been described as having more temples than houses and more gods than people. To travel between these two very different cities is one of the most beautiful and fascinating journeys in Asia.

For culture vultures the Taj Mahal, the 'Pink City' of Jaipur, the holy city of Varanasi or the Buddhist Stupas of Kathmandu may be the highlight; for those more interested in nature's treasures, spotting rhino on an early morning elephant ride through Chitwan National Park may feature as high on the list as their first view of the mighty Himalaya, towering 8000m. (26,000 ft.) above the plains on the India/Nepal border. On any journey however it is often the friendliness of the people you meet on your way that lasts longest in the memory.

Day 1 : Arrival Delhi
Late night arrival, meeting and assistance upon arrival as our representatives welcome you and escort you to your van. Welcome to India, or as we say 'atithi devo bhava' (the guest is an incarnation of God). Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you!

Overnight : The Connaught - a 4 Star Downtown Hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast, we proceed on a guided tour of New Delhi, visiting popular sights like Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb and Qutab Minar. Next we visit the Old Delhi which is home to popular attractions such as Jamma Masjid, Red Fort and the Chandni chowk. From the streets of Old Delhi we will head towards the Raj Ghat the cremation site of Mahatama Gandhi. In the evening indulge yourself in some shopping in the Connaught Place area or other markets of Delhi.

Day 3 : Delhi / Jaipur
Following breakfast drive to pink city, Jaipur along one of India's finest freeways. We will have opportunities to stop on the way at well-appointed restaurants for refreshments as well as restroom services. In a land steeped with heritage, picturesque with exquisite architecture, in a state vibrant with heroic memories and romance, lies the dream city of Jaipur. Upon arrival, check in to Shahpura House, once residence of the erstwhile rulers of Shahpura and scion of the Shekhawat clan of Rajput, is now a hotel.

Afternoon, we proceed for a guided tour of the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort. We will go for shopping in the colourful bazaar of Jaipur. An essential starting point for Rajasthan craftwork is block making and block printing and we will be exploring the process from start to finish in some of the popular stores here. We also explore one of the chief attractions of Jaipur - its jewelry, which offers a variety that ranges from chunky tribal jewelry to enameled gold to modern diamond jewelry.

Day 4 : Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra
Morning sightseeing in Jaipur, visit to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. We will stop
at Fatehpur Sikri (ghost capital) for a tour of these magnificent and world heritage buildings, which are still in a state of perfect reservation. The city is divided into religious and secular sections. The profusion of sculpture is breathtaking. Also, the white marble mosque in the secular section is incredible. It is a very sacred mosque and pilgrims from far and near arrives here to pay their respects. From here we continue our drive to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, check into hotel Howard Park Plaza. The hotel's cuisine is renowned for its taste and splendour. Rest of the day is at leisure for your independent activities.

Day 5 : Agra / Allahabad
Full day for the sightseeing trip of Agra. Visit the magnificent Agra Fort, which houses several picutrsque palaces and other interesting structures. Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal which looks more graceful in orange-red light of sun. We will boast an overnight train to Allahabad.

Day 6 : Allahabad / Mirzapur / Varanasi
Morning we will reach Allahabad. From Allahabad we move further to visit the historic Chunar Fort. Next we visit the Vindyachal Temples at Mirzapur. We will board boat on Ganges to Varanasi. Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to your Hotel Clarks.

Day 7 : Varanasi
Varanasi, probably the world’s oldest living city is revered by Hindus, Buddhists and Jain alike. Considered as the holiest city of India, Varanasi is known for its temples such as Kashi Vishawanath Temple, Durga Temple and Bharat Mata Temple. Bathing ghats of Varanasi is another major attraction of Varanasi, which remain full of devotees throughout the day. In the evening we take a short trip to the Buddhist city of Sarnath. It is in Sarnath where Lord Buddha preached his first sermons after attaining enlightenment. The highlight of this tour would be a participation in the evening prayer service (aarti) of the main Buddhist temple here - the synchronized chanting of hymns to the accompaniment of traditional temple music is a sole stirring experience.

Day 8 : Departure for Nepal
On day 8 we will board a flight in Varansi to visit the Kingdom of Nepal. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 9-10 : Chitwan
On day 9 we will visit Chitwan. For two days we will enjoy Elephant safaris, jungle walks and river trips.

Day 11 : Chitwan / Pokhara
Morning after breakfast visit to Pokhara with views of Annapurnas.

Day 12 : Pokhara /Sarankot
Sunrise over mountains. Free to explore or daywalk to Sarankot.

Day 13 : Kathmandu
On day 13 we will move to Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, following Marsyangdi and Trisuli river valleys.

Overnight : Royal Singi - (Standard Room)

Day 14 : Kathmandu
Morning we proceed for the full day tour the capital of Nepal visiting Durbar Square and pagoda shaped temples, the Royal Palace and bazaars. Continue to the temple of the Living Goddess, Bhodnath to view one of the largest stupa's in the world. Next we will visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest temples of the entire Hindu world.

Day 15 : Kathmandu Departure
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight back home.

15 days of our tour was full of amazing sightseeing trips. We covered the major highlights of North India and neighbouring country of Nepal. In fact, no one can provide a better tour than Trinetra Tour.
