one of newer states of India was carved out of the state of Punjab in 1966.
The state of Haryana is bordered by Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to the north
and desert state of Rajasthan to the west and south. Haryana also surrounds
the national capital Delhi on northern, western and southern sides. Due to
its closeness to Delhi, a large area of Haryana is included in the National
Capital Region (NCR). Haryana also enjoy the benefit of its unique location,
if you are going from Delhi to any major tourist attraction in northern
India like Jaipur, Agra, Kashmir and Amritsar - you have to go through
Haryana.
Chandigarh is the capital of Haryana, which is administered as a union
territory by the central government. Also called the city of gardens,
Chandigarh is home to a number of attractions such as Rock Garden, Rose
Garden, Capital Complex, Sukhna Lake, Museum and Art Gallery etc. Gurgaon is
another important city of Haryana, which is emerging as a major hub for the
IT (information technology) industry. Other important towns of Haryana
include Faridabad, Panipat, Karnal and Panchkula. Visit the towns and cities
