Karnataka Tourist Destinations

Vidhan SoudhaFormerly known as Mysore, the state of Karnataka is one of the four sourthern states of India. It is bordered by the states of Goa to the northwest, Maharashtra to the north, Andhra Pradesh to the east, Tamil Nadu to the southeast, Kerala to the southwest and the Arabian Sea to the west. Karnataka is a state of great constrasts with the modern, industralised city of Bangalore at one extreme and the expanses of rural farming areas at the other end. The state of Karnataka also boasts of some of the most interesting architecture in India and has a varied a tumultuous history. Karnataka has also given a great contribution in both forms of Indian classical music, the Carnatic and Hindustani traditions.

Bangalore also known as Bengaluru is the state's capital, which is home to a number of global companies. The high-tech city of Bangalore is also home to a number of tourist attractions such as Lalbagh Garden, Government Museum, Technological and Insdustrial Museum, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore Fort, Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace and Bull Temple. Mangalore and Mysore are other important cities of Karnataka, which house several tourist attractions, and visited by large number of tourists every year.
