Overview
Central India Travel, a 16 Days tour takes you to popular destinations of Central India. We begin our trip in Mumbai, the financial and film industry capital and an exhilarating start to this magical trip. We head inland to central India with its great cultural heritage, abandoned forts and awe-inspiring monuments. Over the centuries powerful Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist dynasties ruled over small kingdoms and were constantly at war with one another. In the process they built forts, palaces, mosques and mausoleums and carved rock temples.

We head west to Aurangabad and the magnificent cave temples of Ellora and Ajanta. The temples at Ajanta are renowned for their well-preserved Buddhist frescoes and the temple at Ellora is one of the largest monolithic structures ever conceived. Hyderabad, too, is an architectural gem, home of the much famed Golconda Fort, and further on the vast, world-famous ruins of Hampi are a truly magical experience. We finish our trip on one of Goa's palm-fringed beaches, a perfect end to the trip. From Goa fly to Mumbai for boarding a flight back home. Day 1 : Arrive Mumbai
Arrival to Mumbai airport. Meeting and assistance followed by transfer to hotel. After some rest proceed on sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the Mumbai's principle landmark Gateway of India, which remained crowded with the visitors. Next visit the Juhu Beach to become a part of the mass congregation and enjoy Mumbai's famous 'Bhelpuri'. In the evening take a stroll across the beautiful Marine drive road.

Day 2 : Sightseeing tour of Mumbai
Following breakfast in the morning proceed on full-day sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Visit Mumbai's popular attractions such as Sidhi Vianayak Temple, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Prince of Wales Museum, Jehangir Art Gallery, Haji Ali's Tomb etc. You may take an optional trip to Elephant Caves. In the evening go for shopping or indulge yourself in some leisure activities.

Day 3 : Mumbai - Aurangabad
Early morning after breakfast you will be transferred to railway station to board a train to Aurangabad. On arrival transfer into your hotel. Following some rest move outside your hotel to explore the city. Aurangabad is dotted with a number of Mughal period monuments. Visit the city's main attractions such as Bibi-ka-Maqbara, Panchakki and Aurangabad Caves.

Day 4 : Aurangabad
Following breakfast visit Ellora Caves which are about 30 kms away from the city. In all there are 34 caves at Ellora and they are noted for their sculpture. While returning to Aurangabad visit the massive hilltop fortress of Daulatabad. Evening is free for personal activities.

Overnight : At Hotel in Aurangabad.

Day 5 : Aurangabad - Hyderabad
After breakfast visit the Ajanta Caves situated at a distance of 100 kms from Aurangabad city. Ajanta Caves are noted for their exquisite paintings and all the caves are Buddhist here. After visiting the caves return to Aurangabad. Afternoon is free to relax in hotel room.

Overnight : Train to Hyderabad.

Day 6 : Arrive Hyderabad
Arrive Hyderabad railway station, transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed on sightseeing tour of Hyderabad city. Visit city's prime attractions Charminar, Mecca Masjid, Birla Temle, NTR Garden etc. Evening is free for shopping or other leisure activities.

Day 7 : Hyderabad
Following breakfast drive to Golconda Fort which is mostly in ruins today. Next we will visit the tombs of the Qutab Shahi Kings. Gulbarga is our next destination from where we will come back to Hyderabad.

Day 8 : Hyderabad - Bijapur
After breakfast drive to Bijapur. On arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon visit Golgumbaz mausoleum, Jama Masjid mosque and other attractions of the city. Evening is free for personal activities.

Day 9 : Bijapur - Badami - Bijapur
In the morning after a lavish breakfast visit Badami cave temples and nearby Pattakadal temple.

Overnight : At Hotel in Bijapur.

Day 10 : Bijapur - Hospet
Following breakfast in the morning drive to Hospet via Aihole. Visit the temples and other old structures of the town.

Overnight : At Hotel in Hospet.

Day 11 : Hospet - Hampi
After breakfast proceed out of your to explore the ruins at Hampi. Spend the whole day amidst the ruins at Hampi.

Day 12 : Hampi - Goa
Early morning train to Londa. Upon arrival transfer to Goa via the Western Ghats. Evening is free to explore the markets of Goa.

Day 13 - 14 : Sightseeing tour of Goa
is meant for visiting the beaches and other tourist places of Goa. Spend few hours at leisure on the beach. Go for shopping in the flea markets of Goa or enjoy some delicious cuisine at any beach-side restaurant.

Day 15 : Goa - Mumbai
Morning free to relax in hotel. Afternoon transfer to airport for boarding a flight to Mumbai.

Overnight : At Hotel in Mumbai.

Day 16 : Departure Mumbai
Transfer to Mumbai airport for boarding a flight back home.

Central India trip was great. I loved the itinerary offered by Trinetra which was always filled with lots of interesting things to do. I enjoyed the various forms of transport and the ease of transfers from place to place. Overall, the tour gave me more time to enjoy the experience and culture of India.


Central India Travel is a very good trip to see major attractions of the central India. Visiting the place like Hampi and Hospet was a wonderful experience. We got to see the old temples and various other interesting structures there. Goa beaches are superb and offer plenty of leisure options.
