A
19th century heritage property, the Chandra Mahal Haveli is aesthetically
located in a small village called Peharsar, a little before the Bharatpur
Bird Sanctuary. Built by the nobles of Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1699, the
haveli reflects the elegance of the Mughal architecture of that era. Like
most medieval palatial complexes, the Chandra Mahal Haveli has a central
courtyard with a marble mountain and a number of balconies.
Keeping the mother nature in mind, the haveli is specially designed to
allow maximum entrance of sunlight and fresh air inside the rooms. In fact,
every morning at the haveli is a new beginning, as the peacocks sing an ode
to life, while the evening is a tranquil, romantic affair, as folk dancers
and musicians take you into a bygone era of romance and chivalry. Over the
years considerable renovation and refurbishing has been carried out to
restore the haveli, but it still retains its old charm and royal grandeur.

Chandra Mahal Haveli has 19 elegantly appointed Double Rooms and 4 Terrace
Rooms. Deluxe rooms have one king size bed with single/double occupancy and
the Executive Suites with terrace have single/double occupancy. The
Executive suites open into private verandas fitted with jhulas (swings),
where you can unwind yourself after a hectic day of sight seeing at
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Equipped with antique furniture, stained glass
windows and niches set into the walls for keeping your personal belongings,
