the crown of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The Laxmi Vilas Palace was built in the
year 1887 by the then ruler of Bharatpur, Maharaja Ram Singh for his younger
brother Raja Raghunath Singh. In the year 1994, the home of Bharatpur royal
family was converted into a Heritage hotel.
Earlier called as Raghunath Niwas this palace was nicknamed as Kakaji ki
Kothi by the local people. An architectural marvel, the Laxmi Niwas Palace
is an eclectic and lively fusion of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles.
