of the biggest states of India, Uttar Pradesh is located in the northern
part of the country and spreads over an area of 294,411 sq. kms. Uttar
Pradesh is home to some of most popular tourist destinations of India and
attracts lakhs of tourists from various parts of country and the world as
well.
Among the tourist destinations of Uttar Pradesh, the city of Taj, Agra has
always remained a favourite place for tourists visiting India. In addition
to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra and Fatehpur Sikri are other popular
tourist attractions in and around Agra. Uttar Pradeshs capital,
Lucknow is another important tourist destination, which houses the famous
Bada Imambara.

several Buddhist Stupas and a Buddhist temple. Allahabad is a sacred place
for Hindus, here the river Ganga meets with the river Yamuna and mythical
Saraswati. The confluence of these rivers is known as Sangam. It is where
the Ardh-Kumbh Mela and Kumbh Mela are organized in every 6th and 12th year
respectively.
